Fall 2023 classes:

Fall Theatre Fun, Ages 6-8

Nine Friday afternoons from 3:30-4:30pm: October 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, December 1, 8, 15 (No class on November 24.)

This class will provide an introduction to theatre by bringing storybooks to life. Students will learn basic theatre terminology, stage direction, character development using voice and physicality, memorization, and storytelling.  The class will culminate in a short showcase production narrated by the instructor.

Fall Theatre Fun II, Ages 8-11

Nine Friday afternoons from 4:30-5:30pm: October 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17,  December 1, 8, 15 (No class on November 24.)

This class will review basic aspects of theatre, integrating movement and music into scene work for musicals and plays. Students will experiment with devising text and creating original characters while also rehearsing material from published works.  The class will culminate in a short showcase production.

Teen Actors Studio, Ages 13-18

Eight Thursday evenings from 7-9pm: October 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 16, 30, December 7 (No class on Thanksgiving.)

What are the vital tools for success needed to “break out of your box” and confidently showcase your ability to play a range of characters at auditions, callbacks and in all of your performances? This class is designed for teen actors eager for individualized feedback and training, who will be given the tools every actor needs to build their confidence and raise their acting and audition skills to the next level. Students in this teen acting studio will build, sharpen and showcase their acting skills through challenging acting training in monologue and scene work.
