SPELLING BEE CAST WINS
FOR BEST ENSEMBLE!

Congratulations to the cast of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for winning Best Ensemble - Musical at the 2021-2022 DASH Awards Gala, presented by the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres (EMACT) on August 20th at Cary Hall in Lexington. The cast also received loud applause for their performance at the Gala. NCT was nominated in 10 categories for Spelling Bee; the list of all nominees is here, and the nomination presentation on YouTube can be seen here. NCT’s nominations included:

Best Supporting Performer in a Female-Identifying Role - Marielle Sciore

Best Set Design - Chris Stulb

Best Set Dressing - Heather Daley, Kathy Magni, Libby Ostrofsky, Erica Traub

Best Sound Design - Chris Tess

Best Costume Design - Heather Daley, Kathy Magni

Best Props - Erica Traub

Best Ensemble in a Musical - Cast of Spelling Bee

Best Music Director - Alan Rodi

Best Director - Marianne Sarazen Lonati

Best Musical Production - The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

And congratulations to NCT Board member Nadine Sa for her win as Best Stage Manager for The Concord Players’ Titanic!

On July 15, 2021, the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theaters (EMACT) honored NCT with Virtual DASH Consultants Choice Awards for our musical revues A Little Bit of Fun in 2021 and A Little More Fun in 2021.

Chris Tess, Dan Henderson, and David Bailit were awarded Excellence in Technical Production, and Ashley DiFranza was awarded Outstanding Cabaret Soloist.

Congratulations to all of our Fun in 2021 cast and crew! Thank you to EMACT and its consultants for continuing to recognize and support community theater during this difficult year.
